About the Role

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team in Rotherham Hospital. As a key member of the General Surgery Team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with complex presentations, utilizing your advanced clinical knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise, leadership, consultancy, and collaborations to ensure patients receive effective, appropriate, and timely care.
  • Undertake advanced clinical assessments, initiate investigations, and interpret results to determine clinical diagnosis and initiate treatment.
  • Organize the clinical management of individual patients, using highly developed expert clinical knowledge and advanced skills to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and initiate changes in management where required.
  • Conduct advanced health assessments and clinical examinations of patients with highly complex presentations and make clinical decisions based on these assessments.
  • Work unsupervised to advise and recommend treatment for patients using clinical judgment and decision-making skills in accordance with agreed local, regional, and national policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other clinical teams to improve the quality of healthcare, responding to local and national policies and initiatives as appropriate.
  • Support and participate in shared learning across the Division and TRFT.
  • Contribute to the development of patient involvement and experience, and develop effective feedback mechanisms to enhance the service provided by the team.

Requirements

  • Current Professional NMC/HCPC Registration.
  • Degree-level Qualification.
  • Teaching/Mentorship Qualification.
  • Qualified in Non-Medical Prescribing (v300).
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
  • Current Advanced Life Support Qualification (Essential if Inpatient or UECC ACP, Desirable if Community or non-inpatient ACP).
  • Evidence of Ongoing Professional Development.
  • Portfolio evidencing competency as an ACP.
