About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at NHS Professionals Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, addressing both acute medical needs and long-term health management.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to improve the quality of patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, using advanced clinical knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose, and manage patient needs.
  • Conduct advanced health assessments and clinical examinations, making clinical decisions based on these assessments.
  • Work with patients, families, and carers to provide education and support, promoting health and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring that they are evidence-based and effective.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and services.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure seamless care and services, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Allied Health Care Professional with a level 7 Masters degree in advanced clinical practice or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years post-registration experience of working in unscheduled/emergency care, with experience of working in an emergency care environment within the last 2 years.
  • Experience of working with patients of all ages, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of diverse patient populations.
  • Advanced Life Support (provider) qualification, with evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) relevant to unscheduled/emergency care.
  • Independent prescribing qualification, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of prescribing.
  • Teaching qualification, with experience of teaching and training others.
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support qualification, with experience of working with children and young people.
  • Instructor status for RCUK courses, with experience of delivering training and education.
  • Leadership qualification, with experience of leading and managing teams.
