Direct Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team in Stone, Staffordshire. The ideal candidate will have formal training in H&S and a minimum of 5 years of management experience promoting health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled professional to manage day-to-day quality practices within the business, reporting into the H&S Director. Key responsibilities include:
- Regular inspection and observation to ensure compliance and identify improvements;
- Maintaining accurate records of staff training and ensuring all employees are working safely;
- Organising meetings and minutes for the existing Health & Safety committee;
- Ensuring Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work are complete and up-to-date;
- Coordinating employee training programs and maintaining relevant records.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the Company's Quality systems, including:
- Communication of issues, improvements, and developments in Quality throughout the business;
- Devolving responsibility for quality down through the business to ensure all employees understand their role in the process;
- Complete regular inspections of the Company's Quality Management systems to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement;
- Holding monthly quality meetings to review performance and implement changes as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in H&S, with formal training such as IOSH or NEBOSH. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility across the organisation.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
