We are Direct Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd., a leading recruitment agency based in the Midlands. We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Health and Safety Professional to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day health and safety practices within the business, reporting directly to the H&S Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day management and monitoring of health and safety systems including regular inspections and observations to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
  • Ensure staff are working in a safe and secure environment and that they use best practices of occupational safety & health.
  • Organise meetings and minutes for the existing Health & Safety committee.
  • Ensure all Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work are complete and up to date.
  • Take responsibility for employee training and keep training records up to date.
  • Assist the Management team in managing a Safe System of Work (SSOW) and Permit to Work (PTW) system for general site safety and safety from the system across the business.
About You

The ideal candidate will have formal training in H&S in the workplace as a minimum IOSH, NEBOSH. They should also have management experience promoting H&S and a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility across the organisation.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The benefits package includes a range of perks, including annual leave and professional development opportunities.
