Submarine Systems Engineer

About the Job:
As a Submarine Systems Engineer at BAE Systems, you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of submarine systems and capability. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that product safety tasking and activities are completed across multiple systems in support of project milestones.
Key Accountabilities:
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver submarine systems and capability
- Identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks associated with submarine systems
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that safety requirements are captured and managed throughout the Engineering Life Cycle Management
- Developing and maintaining safety documentation and procedures
- Liaising with other teams to ensure seamless integration of safety management into the project lifecycle
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in safety engineering and risk management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Practical experience in the maritime defence sector is desirable
