About the Role

As a Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to children and young people with complex needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care of children and young people in partnership with them and their parents/guardians.
  • To empower families to be ready for the challenges that will lie ahead when they go home.
  • To support siblings and relatives whilst visiting the hospice.

Your Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Band 5 Nurse at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People who is qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RGN with post registration experience, relevant placement experience or pre-nurse training care experience. Experience with babies, children and/or young people (0-25 years) with complex needs is also required for the role.

Long-term ventilation experience is desirable; however, specialist training and development opportunities will be provided. Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care are essential.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and barring Service Check) and pre-employment checks.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including free on-site parking, life assurance, and subsidised meals.
