Role Overview:

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Lead Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our client and provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and interventions for a caseload of children with complex needs.

This role also includes the clinical development of staff and the growth and development of the service to meet the hospital's needs.

  • Manage a complex caseload independently, handling approximately 30-50% billable units per day.
  • Utilise expert clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and advanced objective assessment skills for children with complex conditions.
  • Perform specialist physiotherapy assessments for clients with diverse and complex needs, including acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, autism, motor coordination difficulties, and developmental delay.
  • Provide supervision to junior and senior therapists, ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
  • Support the Head of Therapies in organising and managing the Paediatric and Women's Health Physiotherapy team, including setting priorities, identifying issues, and developing cost-effective work practices.
Requirements:
  • BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • At least 6 years of experience as a Paediatric Physiotherapist in acute, community, or education settings
  • Previous experience in people management and leading a team
  • Proficiency in paediatric physio assessments and interventions relevant to a paediatric client group
  • Up-to-date knowledge of developments in paediatrics relevant to your field
