Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Business Developer to join our team in the European market. This role involves unlocking and growing our portfolios through sales development, relationship building, engagement activities, and delivering great customer/shipper experience.

The successful candidate will analyze market data to identify trends and opportunities, utilize an extensive network of relationships within the relevant industry to gather market intelligence, and execute on business development opportunities.

This role sits within the Business Development team, part of Amazon Freight Commercial. Focusing on new customer acquisition in the European market, the New Business Developer is expected to attract new businesses, tailor our product to customers' needs, and close business deals with needle-moving shippers for Amazon Freight.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Acquire, engage, and accelerate high potential shippers to Amazon Freight.
  2. Maintain a high level of engagement from potential customers and proactively identify challenges they are facing.
  3. Build relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio.
  4. Be the voice of the customer to guide product development and iterations.
  5. Identify and lead complex projects or initiatives to solve customer pain points and improve experience by collaborating with internal stakeholders globally/across the EU.
  6. Communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all types of audiences and not limited to writing narratives, business cases, and other strategic documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience in business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
