Salary: £20-£25 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications), paid weekly or bi-weekly.
Job Description:
As an Education Assistant in Derby, you will be responsible for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a Year 2 class on a long-term basis. Your primary goal will be to provide individualized support, promote inclusivity, and foster a safe learning environment. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification or minimum 6 months of experience in an educational setting
- Calm, patient, and caring demeanor
- Effective communication skills
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Experience supporting students in 1:1 and small group settings
