About the Job

As a registered nurse at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients in line with the Trust's values and professional regulations.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care, using clinical standards to monitor the quality of care delivered and ensuring that nursing practice is of the highest standard.

Additionally, you will be expected to work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high standards of care to patients and their carers, and to take every opportunity to continue to develop, practice, and expand your own general and specialist nursing skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support patients with adherence and understanding of their medication, advise on the promotion of health and prevention of illness.
  • Use clinical standards to participate in the process of monitoring the quality of care delivered and act to ensure that nursing practice is of the highest standard.
  • Supply and/or administer medication safely in line with Trust medicines policy.
  • Co-ordinate and support other members of the caring team who may be responsible for implementing specific aspects of nursing care.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and losses and provide initial support for the member of staff or patient involved, in line with Trust policy.
Person Specification
  • Registered nurse on the NMC register.
  • Evidence of professional development.
Requirements
  • Post-registration experience working in an acute hospital setting.
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest and awareness of issues in dermatology.
  • Practices in accordance with NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Awareness of current nursing and NHS issues.
  • Evidence of commitment to customer care initiatives.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
