**Job Summary:**

We are recruiting a Children's Therapist to support children and adolescents in Cumbria, addressing emotional and behavioral challenges through trauma-responsive care.

As part of our Health and Wellbeing Team, you will deliver direct therapeutic interventions, work closely with teams supporting the children, and provide training and guidance.

**Responsibilities and Expectations:**

You will engage with children individually and in groups, collaborating with caregivers or family members to address specific needs.

You will participate in team meetings to discuss progress, advocate for children's needs, and coordinate efforts to ensure effective care.

You will draw on expertise in trauma and attachment theories to inform treatment approaches and collaborate with colleagues to optimize outcomes.

You will assess and document children's needs, contributing to comprehensive plans and ensuring consistency across teams.

You will facilitate communication between teams, promote collaboration, and encourage a culture of mutual respect.

**Essential Qualifications and Skills:**

We seek a registered therapist (UKCP/BACP) with a level 4 or higher qualification in counseling.

You should demonstrate extensive experience in working directly with children, solid understanding of trauma and attachment principles, and capability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.

An excellent understanding of relevant legislation and regulations is required, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands.

You must possess strong safeguarding skills, communicate effectively, and navigate technology proficiently.

A valid UK driver's license and access to reliable transportation are mandatory.
