Electrical and Instrumentation Operations Leader

Position: Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Manager to oversee critical operations within a leading maritime organization. This role is essential for ensuring the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible functioning of the company's fleet, with a focus on managing all aspects of Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation (EIA), and Navigation Communication (Navcom).
Key Responsibilities:
As the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Prioritizing safety and environmental regulations in all operations.
- Ensuring compliance with the Company Management System, HSEQ standards, and Maintenance Philosophy Policies for all EIA and Navcom activities.
- Serving as a subject matter expert in operational EIA matters and representing the organization at industry conferences.
- Conducting research and developing relevant programs for fleet use, while reviewing and updating existing policy documents.
- Monitoring regulatory compliance and advising on necessary changes.
- Reviewing work plans related to electrical, instrumentation, automation, and Navcom, ensuring adherence to maintenance and repair strategies.
- Participating in HSEQ meetings, providing insights on relevant issues, and approving incident resolutions.
- Ensuring compliance with the Engineering Change Management process for EIA systems.
- Offering support and guidance on the management system, strategic initiatives, and software applications.
- Acting as the primary liaison for the Vessel Manager/Ship Team on EIA-related matters, providing troubleshooting and operational assistance.
- Managing assigned projects, including significant repairs and modifications, and overseeing their implementation.
- Assisting Marine HR with technical interviews and training evaluations for sea-staff.
- Analyzing operational reports to identify trends in equipment performance and maintenance, preparing summaries, and recommending improvements.
- Developing fleet-specific strategies and best practices for EIA system operations.
- Overseeing assigned EIA projects, including investigations and process management.
- Supporting new builds and project specifications, evaluating EIA and Navcom equipment, and researching new technologies.
- Establishing design criteria for EIA systems.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognized qualification in electrical engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Experience within the maritime sector.
- Familiarity with technical operations and current industry regulations.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- The ability to effectively address customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with LNG or NGL vessels in a maritime or supervisory capacity is highly desirable.
