Job Overview: This is a permanent full-time role working in a low secure unit for males with learning disabilities, including those with co-morbid personality disorders, mental illnesses, and autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs) based in the Chesterfield, Derbyshire area.

Key Responsibilities: The Speech Therapist will be responsible for managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of Dysphagia, contributing to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users' mental capacity and ability to give informed consent with support from senior colleagues, and assisting service users to maximize their independence in decision-making and communicating their wishes.

Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and registration with the HCPC. Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of Dysphagia, working with families, and having evidence of continuing Professional Development would be beneficial.
