About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Health Psychology service as a Mental Health Psychologist - Clinical Specialist.

You will work under supervision to support the development and delivery of psychologically informed interventions, evaluations, and staff engagement activities. We value commitment to co-production, addressing health inequalities, and promoting trauma-informed approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of clinically supervised group and individual interventions.
  • Evaluate service effectiveness and facilitate stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to co-produce the service and address health inequalities.
Person Specification

We seek candidates with:

  • A good honours degree in Psychology (First Class or 2:1) or equivalent post-graduate conversion route.
  • Eligibility for Graduate Membership of BPS.

Knowledge of preventative psychological approaches and interest in health inequalities are essential. Desirable skills include experience in delivering psycho-education, risk assessment, and therapeutic boundaries establishment.

Working Conditions

This role involves working under clinical supervision, contributing to audit and evaluation, and receiving regular feedback on performance measures.

The salary range for this position is £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
