About the Opportunity: We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Speech Therapist to join our team at Jobit. The successful candidate will be working in a low secure unit for males with learning disabilities, including those with co-morbid personality disorders, mental illnesses, and autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs) based in the Chesterfield, Derbyshire area.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities: The Speech Therapist will be responsible for managing complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and generating strategies. They will also demonstrate specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders. Additionally, they will contribute to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users' mental capacity and ability to give informed consent with support from senior colleagues.

Requirements and Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and registration with the HCPC. Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of Dysphagia, working with families, and having evidence of continuing Professional Development would be beneficial.

Benefits and Salary: The successful Speech Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £42,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a group Personal Pension Plan, Private Medical Insurance Scheme, Life Assurance, free meals while on duty, and access to Continuous learning and development opportunities.
