Supporting Students with SEMH Needs

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Tempest Resourcing Limited. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of our students. You will provide one-to-one and small group support to help children focus, manage their behaviour, and achieve learning objectives.
Your primary responsibility will be to build trusting relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being and helping them develop social skills and resilience. You will also assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans, contributing to assessments and reviews.
We require someone with a compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude, who is committed to supporting students' emotional and social development. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or experience in a similar SEMH setting, are preferred.
The salary for this position is estimated to be £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
