About the Job

This role requires someone with strong administration skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Deployment Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the centralised roster function and ensuring the efficient utilisation of operational staff. This will involve profiling resource requirements and building rosters to ensure all operational staff resources are effectively deployed.

Responsibilities:

  1. Profile resource requirements and build rosters to ensure all operational staff resources are effectively deployed.
  2. Oversee the use of the Kronos system to ensure accurate records are maintained and it is used efficiently and effectively throughout the prison.
  3. Implement and oversee the deployment of staff to planned training activity in accordance with the Training Plan to meet contractual requirements.
  4. Assist in the promotion of creating a positive Health & Safety culture to achieve and maintain recognition as a British Safety Council 5 Star business unit.
  5. Ensure the maintenance of security within the prison environment by compliance with security instructions.
  6. Search Vehicles, Occupants of Vehicles, Visitors and their property on access or egress through the prison lock, using Technical Aids, to ensure the Security of the Prison is maintained.
  7. Participate with Internal and External Vehicle Escorts and Patrols where necessary, wearing the correct High Visibility PPE ensuring compliance with Contractual Requirements.
  8. Monitor and operate CCTV Cameras (including Visits CCTV), and Radio Network in line with relevant procedures to maintain Prison Security.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of administration skills and a can-do attitude, along with an attention to detail. You will work collaboratively and openly whilst being a key member of the team. Ideally you will have experience of working within a multifunctional and demanding environment and be a dynamic and engaging individual with a good sense of humour, who shares our ethics and values and is eager to support successful delivery.
