Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. As part of the LTE Group family, you will benefit from a competitive package, including:

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in custody and the community. As an Information and Advice Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial assessments of potential or actual service users to identify their needs and requirements
  • Helping to raise expectations and aspirations of our learners, motivating them to engage with learning opportunities while in custody
  • Engaging with referral agencies, both statutory and third sector, to generate referrals for programmes, activities, and services as needed
  • Utilizing policies and procedures to support the wider prison resettlement and skills strategy
  • Working collaboratively with a local specialist education team and contributing positively to the wider prison team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 Information, Advice, and Guidance qualification within an agreed timescale. You should also possess relevant experience and skills, such as:

  • A level 3 qualification in information, advice, and guidance
  • A level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy
