Computer Futures is seeking a dedicated Project Management Office (PMO) Specialist to support the UK Head of Portfolio Management Office in designing and implementing a robust Portfolio Management Office (PMO) function. This strategic role will focus on establishing and maintaining effective project management processes, governance frameworks, and control mechanisms to ensure the successful delivery of portfolio projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. PMO Design and Implementation:
    1. Assist in the design and establishment of the Portfolio Management Office, including the development of governance frameworks, standards, and processes specific to the client.
    2. Support the implementation and rollout of PMO processes across the organization.
  2. Governance and Compliance:
    1. Ensure all portfolio projects comply with our client's policies, procedures, and standards.
    2. Develop and maintain a compliance tracking system for portfolio projects.
  3. Project Monitoring and Reporting:
    1. Track portfolio project progress against schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
    2. Generate and distribute comprehensive portfolio status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
    3. Identify, analyse, and report on project risks and issues within the portfolio.
    4. Provide training and support to project managers and teams on PMO standards and best practices.
    5. Implement lessons learned from completed projects into the PMO methodology.
  4. RAID Management:
    1. Develop and maintain a risk management framework for the PMO.
    2. Facilitate risk assessment workshops and risk mitigation planning for portfolio projects.
    3. Monitor and report on project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Collaborate with the UK Head of Portfolio Management Office, Business Unit leads, PMs, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with portfolio goals.
    2. Provide guidance and support to project teams on PMO processes and requirements.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or PMO roles.
  4. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  5. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Planview, MSP).
