Job Summary

The HCRG Care Group is seeking a highly skilled Neurodiversity Inclusion Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with education, health specialists, and parent carers to shape whole school SEND provision and provide early interventions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with education, health specialists, and parent carers to assess and shape whole school SEND provision.
  • Develop schools' confidence and expertise in supporting neurodiversity within classrooms through consultation and practical assistance.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve the school environment to better accommodate neurodiverse students' needs and enhance their engagement in learning.
  • Foster an inclusive culture within schools that amplifies the efficacy of other interventions and promotes the well-being of all students.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract until March 2025, and the successful candidate will undergo relevant training and induction processes upon appointment. Travel within the region may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.

Requirements

  • Relevant undergraduate degree, or evidence of working at degree level.
  • Confidence to deliver training to Teachers and parents.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse students in educational settings, with a deep understanding of neurodiversity and its impact on learning.
  • Familiarity with SEND provision in mainstream schools, including relevant policies, practices, and legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including school staff, health specialists, and parent carers.
