Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join the NHS as a Clinical Liaison Specialist.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Integrated Care Board, providing clinical liaison support to GP practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote the range of general practice advice and liaison services provided by the NHS.
  • Support the development of new liaison initiatives and meetings to support GP practices.
  • Provide input at board meetings as required.
  • Deliver a range of high-quality, accurate, and responsive advisory and liaison support services to GP practices.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of GMS PMS APMS and NHS contractual regulations.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and signposting on regulatory, legal, partnership, complaints, and performance matters.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of developments in contracting and commissioning, including PCNs, ICS, and ICB.
  • Ensure the team continues to offer a responsive and professional high-quality service to general practice.
  • Develop a good working relationship with internal and external colleagues to ensure mutual understanding of policy or service implementation.
  • Respond to non-clinical related queries from GP practices and NHS organisations in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Advise on changes affecting General Practice.
  • Support the board to work alongside key stakeholders.
  • Attend LMC representative events where applicable.
About Us

The NHS liaises with key organisations on behalf of local GPs. We work locally with the Integrated Care Board, ensuring funding is available for additional services in practices and also input nationally through the British Medical Association into the national GP contract.
