Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Paramedic to join our team at Alvaston Medical Centre. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients, providing definitive treatment and making necessary referrals to other members of the primary care team.
  • Undertake home visits for acute illness or chronic disease management, ensuring patients receive timely and effective care.
  • Develop and implement interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs, following up as appropriate to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug- and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan.
  • Advise patients on general healthcare and promote self-management, signposting them to other community or voluntary services as needed.

Our team includes salaried GPs, Physician Associates, ANPs, Practice Nurses, and HCA's, as well as Clinical Pharmacists and other external specialists.

Requirements
  • Qualified paramedic or specialist paramedic registered with the HCPC
  • 2 years post-registration experience in General Practice
  • Health Promotion skills
  • Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively and safely
