As a key member of the Orthoptic Department at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist to join our team, with a strong focus on investigation, diagnosis, and management of patients with complex eye conditions. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Orthoptics, registration with the HCPC, and a proven track record of delivering excellent patient outcomes.

As an Orthoptist at our Trust, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those with paediatric, neurology, and adnexal conditions. You will also have the chance to develop your skills in clinical audit, supervision, and teaching of Orthoptic students.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and diagnosing patients with complex eye conditions

  • Supervising and teaching Orthoptic students
  • Contributing to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
