Job Summary:

The role of an Orthoptist Specialist at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust involves undertaking investigations, diagnoses, and management of patients referred to the Orthoptic Department at Bristol Eye Hospital and Weston General Hospital.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To be an autonomous practitioner undertaking the investigation, diagnosis, and management of patients referred to the Orthoptic Department.

Person Specification:

For this role, we are looking for an Orthoptist with relevant experience in acute and community settings. The ideal candidate will have had responsibility for the diagnosis and management of adults and children of all ages. Additionally, they should be competent in the use of various visual field analysers and be able to interpret results. A teaching qualification is also desirable.
