Orthoptist Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Orthoptist, you will be responsible for undertaking the investigation, diagnosis, and management of patients referred to the Orthoptic Department at Bristol Eye Hospital and Weston General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- To be an autonomous practitioner undertaking the investigation, diagnosis, and management of patients referred to the Orthoptic Department.
- To have a broad and detailed knowledge of visual and ocular motility defects.
- To have excellent observational, analytical, and reflective skills in order to interpret findings and recommend treatment or further investigation.
- To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
