About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Onboarding & Review Expert to join our team at Starling Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of high-risk customers while maintaining the bank's risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert in onboarding and due diligence processes, providing guidance and support to the onboarding and periodic review teams.
  • Review high-risk applications, ensuring they meet the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and coach team members to build their knowledge and confidence in high-risk subject matter and the bank's risk appetite.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the customer onboarding experience.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions to large groups, focusing on risk and due diligence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business, leveraging these relationships to drive guidance and projects.
Requirements
  • Expert understanding of onboarding and due diligence processes, with a strong focus on risk management.
  • Strong coaching and feedback skills, with the ability to deliver structured sessions that are goals-centric.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Knowledge of money laundering regulations and JMLSG guidance.
  • Ability to create meaningful, interactive training sessions on risk and due diligence.
  • Ability to balance workload and schedules with multiple priorities.
