Academics Ltd Seeks SENCO

We are a dynamic Primary school community in Brent, looking for an exceptional Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team. If you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a competitive role that requires a qualified teacher with a minimum of three years' teaching experience and a National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with students with a range of special educational needs and a deep commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of support staff, ensuring effective deployment and training.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies related to SEND.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all students.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of three years' teaching experience.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to work towards it.
  • Proven track record of working with students with a range of special educational needs.
  • A deep commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.
Salary and Contract

The salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, permanent contract.
