SENCo Teacher Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO teacher to join our team at a primary school in Norfolk, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement special educational needs policy and provision in the school.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and coordinate specific support for individual pupils with SEN or disabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of a teacher, including lesson planning, teaching, and assessing student progress.
- Identify resources needed to meet the needs of pupils with SEN and advise the headteacher on priorities.
- Maintain contact with specialist support services as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A commitment to prioritizing children's needs and treating them as individuals.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, being positive and creative in meeting students' needs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Good numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
- Relevant qualifications include PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification, with SENCO qualifications preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is estimated to be £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also have access to a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
