Residential Children's Services Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of young people in our care are met and providing a positive and safe living experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and lead a team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality childcare.
- Work with the Children's Home Manager to ensure the residential home runs smoothly and effectively.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people in our care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote best practice and maintain confidentiality.
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
- Participate in the on-call rota and be available to cover shifts when required.
- Good overall standard of education.
- Working towards or hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
- Hold a QCF Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Commitment to commence a Level 5 Diploma within 6 months of appointment.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
- Excellent report writing and numeracy skills.
- Well-organized with excellent administration and IT skills.
