Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our residential services, working closely with the Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to ensure the highest standards of care and support for our young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in the overall management of the residential services, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage a team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers, providing guidance, support and supervision to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of each young person are met and their outcomes are achieved.
- Work closely with other departments, including HR, Finance and Marketing, to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new staff, ensuring that the best candidates are appointed to the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of working in a residential childcare setting, with a strong understanding of the needs of young people and their families.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, young people and their families.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
