Residential Children's Services Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Children's Services in Bristol. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the needs of young people in our care are met and providing a positive and safe living experience.
About the Role:- Manage and lead a team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality childcare.
- Work closely with the Children's Home Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the residential home and achieve positive outcomes for young people.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times, adhering to our Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
- Comply with and enforce company guidelines on Codes of Conduct, Health & Safety, Fire, and Data Protection.
- Participate in the on-call rota and be available to cover shifts when required.
- Good overall standard of education.
- Working towards or hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
- Hold a QCF Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Commitment to commence a Level 5 Diploma within 6 months of appointment and successful completion of probation period.
- A minimum of 2 years' previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
- Experience of working with outside agencies, other professionals, parents, and families.
- Excellent report writing and numeracy skills.
- Well-organized with excellent administration and IT skills.
- Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of childcare.
