Job Description

Job Title: Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Security Officer to join our team at HMP Five Wells. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our prison and its residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective security of the prison by controlling access points and monitoring CCTV systems.
  • Conduct searches of prisoners, visitors, and contractors to prevent the introduction of contraband.
  • Provide escort duties for prisoners, visitors, and contractors, ensuring their safe and secure movement within the prison.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of prisoner property, including searches and seizures.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing a high level of customer service to residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • IT literacy and proficiency in using database and spreadsheet applications.
  • Polite and professional demeanor, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to deal with changing scenarios within the prison.

Security Clearance:
