Care and Support Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Officer to join our team at Dovetail and Slate Ltd.

  • Full-time position
  • Location: Angel, North London
  • Salary: £29,500 - £33,500 per annum

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills.

About the Role

As a Care and Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable students.

  • Support students facing challenges like mental health or being care leavers
  • Help students build confidence to access support services independently and provide crisis intervention when necessary
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle safeguarding and welfare enquiries via email and phone
  • Support high-needs students, such as ESOL learners, young parents, and vulnerable adults
  • Provide immediate support to ensure young people and vulnerable adults are safe
  • Maintain up-to-date electronic records
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and external agencies as needed
Requirements
  • Able to start ASAP
  • Safeguarding experience
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vulnerable people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Right to work in the UK
