About the Role

The Barbican Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior People Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a crucial role in delivering our People Strategy and supporting the growth and development of our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and advise managers on the delivery of inclusive recruitment and selection campaigns, ensuring effective and efficient use of media.
  • Provide exceptional HR advice and support to managers and staff on employee relations, including performance, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
  • Work closely with the Head of HR Partnering and Operations to enable the delivery of the People Strategy and projects at the Barbican Centre.
  • Contribute to larger HR projects, such as the recruitment review, and lead on smaller projects, such as colleague engagement initiatives.
  • Support and mentor the People Officers to deliver HR best practices and outstanding colleague experience.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of employment law and experience managing standard employee relations cases.
  • Experience in delivering people projects and driving continuous improvement.
  • CIPD or equivalent HR qualification.
