Enterprise Account Executive

Smartsheet is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to join our Select Accounts team in the Large Enterprise organization. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving software sales and expansion across a large territory of Global Accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Exceed quarterly and annual software and services sales quotas by driving expansion sales within a portfolio of accounts that are in early-stage maturity with Smartsheet.
  • Lead primary and secondary account teams by partnering with Sales Engineering, Consulting, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales Development.
  • Develop short and long-term growth and renewal strategies across your customer base.
  • Execute complex, high-value solution-based sales processes.
  • Proactively develop unsolicited proposals that align with customer initiatives and position Smartsheet as an enterprise software solution provider.
  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities, while tracking and using critical metrics that predict sales success.
  • Use Smartsheet in the execution of daily sales activities.
  • Track all relevant sales activity using the company's CRM platform.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated enterprise sales success, with a track record of exceeding assigned quotas and receiving recognition for high-performance.
  • 5+ years experience selling enterprise software, preferably emerging SaaS solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience building relationships with Global senior line-of-business and IT executives, as well as operational managers.
  • Proven ability to manage a large and diverse pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Proven experience in developing successful go-to-market strategies.
  • Demonstrable experience executing complex, solution-based strategic sales processes.
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, evolving, high-growth company.
  • Demonstrable ability to leverage sales methodologies (e.g. The Challenger Sale).
  • Comfort in ambiguity with the ability to translate complexity into clarity.
  • High humility with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Curious, creative, and able to respectfully challenge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally within the organization, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Motivate and lead to embody Smartsheet's core values and operate with grit and a sense of urgency.
