Job Description

FJN Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Claims Handler to join our team in our Head Office. As a Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in providing proactive management of claims to achieve high levels of satisfaction for our insured and broker clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Processing: Process all classes of claims in an efficient and timely manner to achieve prompt resolution and settlement by working closely with insurers, TPA's, and loss adjusters.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other relevant parties when acting as the agent of a client.
  • Process Improvement: Liaise with colleagues to identify improvements in internal and external claims processes and procedures.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with the existing client base and any incumbent AR's/Businesses by providing first-line contact face-to-face or telephone advice and support.
  • Claims Management: Manage claims from cradle to grave, assessing liability, preparing the claim for the insurer to settle, and making sure that all parties involved are kept up to date with any information.
  • Broker Meetings: Attend monthly broker meetings for those who have a larger number of claims.
  • Compliance: Work within the FCA rules and related procedures published by the company from time to time, including the Company's Compliance Manual and Training and Competence Manual.
  • Complaint Resolution: Attempt to resolve complaints within 48 hours, referring any unresolved complaints promptly to the Head of Compliance.
Essential Skills
  • Accurate Record Keeping: Accurate record keeping, clear note taking, and use of diary.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a close team.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to problem-solve and share ideas.
  • Customer Service: Customer service-focused and good communicator.
Preferred Skills
  • Acturis Experience: Experience using Acturis.
  • Cert CII Qualified: Cert CII qualified.
  • Claim Handling Experience: Minimum 3 years claim handling experience, ideally within a variance of claim types including Liability, Property, Motor, etc.
