Job Purpose:
To ensure effective oversight of claims processes, delivering exceptional service to both insured clients and brokers through meticulous claim management and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:- Efficiently handle all types of claims to facilitate prompt resolution and settlement, collaborating closely with insurers and brokers.
- Maintain a strong emphasis on comprehending all claims presented and their related risks.
- Act as a liaison between clients, brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders while representing the client's interests during claims.
- Work alongside colleagues to identify enhancements in both internal and external claims procedures.
- Stay updated on industry compliance and claims regulations.
- Develop and sustain relationships with the existing Insurance Brokers client base, providing first-line support and advice through various communication channels.
- Manage claims comprehensively, ensuring all parties are informed throughout the process.
- Conduct monthly meetings with brokers to review claim trends.
- Engage in personal development through ongoing insurance qualifications and training to enhance industry knowledge.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed for Insurance Brokers and associated businesses.
- Adhere to FCA regulations and company procedures, including compliance manuals.
- Address complaints within a 48-hour timeframe, escalating unresolved issues to the Head of Operations.
- Ensure fair treatment of customers, delivering excellent service in line with industry standards.
- Maintain quality and customer service standards by keeping accurate records and ensuring client information is current.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned that align with the job holder's capabilities.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in claims handling.
- Experience in a regulated environment with a solid understanding of TCF principles and insurance practices.
- Proficient in accurate record-keeping and clear documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to share insights.
- Experience in managing a variety of claim types.
- Familiarity with Acturis software.
- Professional qualifications such as CII, CIC, or CRM are advantageous.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching team members.
