Job Summary:
Vermelo RPO is seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and resolving insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Management: Process and manage all classes of claims, working closely with insurers and brokers to achieve prompt resolution and settlement.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to understand all presented claims and their associated risks.
- Client Communication: Liaise with clients, brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, and other relevant parties to ensure effective communication and resolution.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with colleagues to identify improvements in internal and external claims procedures.
- Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of industry compliance and claims regulation, ensuring adherence to FCA rules and company procedures.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with existing insurance brokers and clients, providing first-line contact and support.
- Claims Resolution: Manage claims from inception to closure, ensuring all parties are kept informed and up-to-date.
- Broker Meetings: Attend monthly broker meetings to discuss claim trends and provide updates.
- Professional Development: Complete ongoing insurance qualifications and training to enhance personal knowledge and skills.
- Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks as required, supporting Insurance Brokers and group businesses.
- Complaint Resolution: Resolve complaints within 48 hours, referring unresolved issues to the Head of Operations.
- Customer Service: Ensure customers are treated fairly and receive excellent service, adhering to industry and company guidelines.
- Quality and Service Standards: Maintain high-quality and customer service standards, keeping accurate records and ensuring client records are up-to-date.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 or more years of professional experience in claim handling.
- Regulated Environment: Experience working within a regulated environment and understanding of TCF and Insurance Practice principles.
- Record Keeping: Accurate record keeping and clear note-taking skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work and learn together as a close team.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to problem-solve and share ideas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acturis Experience: Experience using Acturis.
- Professional Qualification: Professional qualification preferred (CII, CIC, CRM, etc.).
- Mentoring and Coaching: Experience in mentoring and/or coaching of staff.
