Document Control Specialist

£35,000 - £38,000 per annum - Competitive Salary
The role will be based in Guildford for 3 days a week and 2 days from home until the project goes live on site, then 3 days on site minimum.
All travel expenses will be paid, including mileage and public transport.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Site Document Controller to join our team at Tate in a busy construction environment.
You will be responsible for managing the Information Management process and ensuring that our company's Document Control Procedures are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a consistent and timely service to contract teams by capturing project documentation within the corporate EDMS for ease of retrieval by Site Teams.
- Process, maintain, and distribute all project-related documents.
- Track the progress of all design and non-design information by monitoring and reporting on outstanding/overdue items in the system to comply with our 'On Time' Delivering Excellence cornerstone.
- Support internal and external stakeholders with the use of Viewpoint for Projects (VfP) and Field View (FV).
- Collaborate with Commercial and Design Managers.
- Generate reports for various outstanding/overdue items and report to the Project Manager on a weekly basis.
- Enter, update, and maintain the Project Directory.
- Attend Document Controller Forums and training sessions as required.
- Provide training to members of the Project Team.
- Become VfP Champion for the Project Team.
- Support the Project Team with self-administration of VfP/FV platforms.
- Be computer literate with knowledge/experience of Microsoft suite.
- Have knowledge and experience of using Viewpoint for Projects or similar.
- Have knowledge and/or experience of the Document Control Process at operational level.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
