Care Professional Trainer

Job Title: Care Professional Trainer
Job Purpose:
To provide exceptional training and support to new employees, empowering them to become outstanding care professionals within the initial 12-week induction process.
The Role Expectations:
- Organise, deliver, and manage the Home Instead Initial Care Professional Training course, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
- Complete weekend training courses in conjunction with on-call support on an 8-weekly basis.
- Develop and implement the Home Instead 12-week mentoring programme, inclusive of the care certificate.
- Manage compliance and completion of 15 care certificate eLearning standards via the MLC eLearning platform.
- Conduct competency assessments, document progress, and provide coaching and mentoring support.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
- Stay up-to-date with national office templates, paperwork, and franchise updates via My Franchise.
- Support in additional work required leading up to audits or inspections.
- Conduct client introductions and participate in routine on-call duties.
- Lead by example, providing solutions to issues and promoting a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with Home Instead's Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities Policy.
- Prepare and deliver in-depth KPIs during team meetings, aligning with company targets and expectations.
Qualifications:
Essential Criteria:
- Working towards Level 3 or 4 in NVQ in Health and Social Care (enrollment with Home Instead available if needed).
- Experience in health and social care settings.
- Training experience preferred.
- Experience in managing people and challenging conversations.
- Passion for delivering high-quality care to clients and promoting independence.
- Advanced knowledge of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Confidence in using care management technology and providing support to Care Professionals.
- Understanding of confidentiality and current legislation.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full driving license and means of transport (if required) for client visits.
- Flexible working time and adaptability to changing business needs.
- Commitment to Home Instead's mission and senior management team.
