Co-ordinator for Widening Participation Initiatives

Role Overview:
Lancaster University is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Social Mobility and Student Success team in External Relations. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young people and a creative approach to coordinating outreach projects and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate outreach projects and activities to raise attainment and broaden aspirations of students from widening participation backgrounds.
- Liaise with key contacts to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and deliver workshops and presentations at partner schools and colleges to promote higher education opportunities.
- Travel across the North West and occasionally further afield within the UK to engage with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with young people, teachers, and schools/colleges.
- Ability to work some weekends and evenings, with flexibility to travel.
- Willingness to develop knowledge of higher education topics, including progression routes and student finance.
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time, indefinite role with the option to work 0.8 FTE. The role can be undertaken as a blended position with a mix of remote and on-campus work, or solely on campus.
