Role Overview:

Lancaster University is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Widening Participation Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young people and a creative approach to coordinating outreach projects and activities designed to raise attainment and broaden the aspirations of students from widening participation backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate outreach projects and activities to raise attainment and broaden the aspirations of students from widening participation backgrounds.
  • Liaise with key contacts to monitor the progress of students participating in these activities and provide constructive feedback to maximise their learning.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and presentations at partner schools and colleges to raise awareness of the opportunities available at Lancaster University.
  • Work with teachers and schools/colleges to identify and support students from widening participation backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • A creative approach to working with young people and a passion for social mobility and student success.
  • Experience of working with teachers and schools/colleges to coordinate outreach projects and activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to travel across the North West and occasionally further afield within the UK.
