Role Overview:

Lancaster University is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Social Mobility and Student Success team in External Relations. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young people and a creative approach to developing and delivering initiatives that encourage social mobility and address educational inequality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the Lancaster Access Programme (LAP) to encourage students from Widening Participation (WP) backgrounds to apply to Lancaster as a first-choice destination for undergraduate study.
  • Work with young people, teachers, and schools/colleges to develop and deliver initiatives that promote social mobility and address educational inequality.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and have the capability and flexibility to work some weekends and evenings.
  • Travel across the North West and occasionally further afield within the UK to support the role.

Lancaster University offers a full-time, indefinite role with the option to work 0.8 FTE. The role could be undertaken as a blended position with a mix of working remotely and working on campus.
