Widening Participation Coordinator

Lancaster University is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Social Mobility and Student Success. As a Widening Participation Co-Ordinator, you will play a key role in encouraging social mobility and addressing educational inequality.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate outreach projects and activities to raise attainment and broaden the aspirations of students from widening participation backgrounds.
- Liaise with key contacts to monitor the progress of students participating in these activities and provide constructive feedback to maximise their learning.
- Develop and deliver workshops and presentations at partner schools and colleges to inform young people and their parents about higher education opportunities at Lancaster University.
- Work with a range of stakeholders, including teachers, schools, and colleges, to develop and implement outreach strategies.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge and expertise on HE topics, including progression routes, student finance, and the UCAS application process.
This is a full-time, indefinite role, with the possibility of working 0.8 FTE. The successful candidate will have a creative approach, experience of working with young people, and the ability to work flexibly, including some weekends and evenings. A willingness to travel across the North West and occasionally further afield within the UK is also essential.
