Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Acute Oncology Administrator at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the Acute Oncology Team, working closely with the Lead Nurse and Consultant.

The post holder will liaise with other administrative and clerical teams to ensure that this service is of the highest quality.

The post holder will ensure effective and timely communication with patients and members of outside organisations.

Main Duties of the Job

  • The post-holder will be the main point of contact for Trust staff, GPs, patients, and carers following an AOS or RDCC referral.
  • The post holder will need to have a good understanding of a range of work procedures and practices, the majority of which are non-routine and which require an intermediate level of theoretical knowledge.
  • The post-holder will provide and receive complex information relating to AOS referrals, which requires persuasive skills.
  • The post-holder will be required to plan and organise a number of complex activities or programmes.
  • The post-holder will be responsible for taking/transcribing formal minutes and maintaining the AOS and RDCC referrals database.
