Job Overview

Brook Street is seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to lead our Autism Outreach Service in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a staff team and providing person-centered support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated manager to utilize their coaching and mentoring skills while delivering high-quality services that meet individual needs and outcomes.

You will oversee the assessment of new referrals, develop comprehensive support plans, and build strong relationships with families and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience delivering person-centered support to people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, and a minimum of 1 year's experience managing services for individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess new referrals and develop comprehensive support and risk management plans
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families and professionals/stakeholders
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a resilient team of support workers and deputy managers
  • Ensure innovative, person-centered support meets individual needs and outcomes
  • Manage service delivery within expected performance indicators
  • Maintain service standards to meet CQC requirements, aiming for 'Good' or 'Outstanding'
  • Line manage deputy managers and oversee outreach services across multiple boroughs
About You
  • Significant management experience in similar settings
  • At least 3 years of experience delivering person-centered support to people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience managing services for individuals with complex needs
  • Qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), NAPPI Level 2, or willingness to complete within 3 months
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders
  • Staff management experience, including leading and motivating a team
  • Ability to think creatively and manage emergency situations effectively
  • Experience developing needs assessments and support plans for people with behaviors of concern
