Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Waste Management Specialist to join our UK Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of technical projects, producing high-quality deliverables, and working both independently and as part of a team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective radioactive waste management strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with national policies and legislation.
  • Conduct environmental permitting and assessment requirements.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and develop client relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a physical science or equivalent training/experience.
  • Significant proven experience in radioactive waste management with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in two or more of the following: decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of the environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application, and waste assay techniques.
