Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Export Control Specialist to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant export, import, and nuclear safeguards regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and instruction to the Springfields site on export control policies and procedures.
  • Review and implement workflow management systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Design and implement export control procedures and manuals.
  • Provide export control training to site personnel.
  • Support and advise on new build and project initiatives.
  • Authorise End User Undertakings and issue 'Authority to export'.
  • Manage Global Repository maintenance and updates.
  • Provide advice on licensable and reportable activities.
  • Manage internal and external trade compliance queries and anomalies.
  • Lead regular update meetings with Export Licence Owners and Directors.
  • Host and organise external audits with ECJU.

Requirements:

  • Ability to interpret instructions relating to regulatory compliance.
  • Relevant experience of trade compliance in relation to nuclear fuel, technology, and goods.
  • Previous experience of working closely with UK Government departments.
  • Knowledge of the UK Strategic Export Control Lists.
  • Professional qualification relevant to the role or a minimum of two years' experience.
