Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory Full time

At National Nuclear Laboratory, we're committed to creating a workplace culture where everyone can thrive with a sense of belonging. Our Engineering Graduate programme is designed to help you develop your skills and knowledge in the nuclear sector, while also supporting you in becoming everything you can be.

We're looking for talented individuals who are passionate about engineering and eager to learn. As an Engineering Graduate, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from design packages to equipment operation and maintenance. You'll collaborate with scientists to design and carry out rig experiments, provide operational support in our laboratories, and work with our modelling team to ensure our sites operate safely and efficiently.

Throughout the programme, you'll receive support from our experienced early careers team, your line manager, mentor, colleagues, and fellow graduates. You'll experience the full life cycle of our projects, from liaising with customers to understand their needs, planning work and developing new methods and processes, to documenting your work effectively in technical reports.

We're committed to helping you grow as an individual and develop your understanding of the nuclear industry. You'll have the opportunity to work on exciting and rewarding projects, learn from skilled and knowledgeable industry experts, and develop your skills in collaboration, team working, and effective decision-making.

As part of our graduate programme, you'll complete a tailored induction programme to welcome you into the business and get to know your graduate cohort. You'll then embark on a two-year graduate scheme, undertaking a programme of activities designed to help you develop your understanding of the nuclear industry and grow as an individual.

We're an inclusive workplace that values diversity and promotes equality, diversity, and inclusivity (ED&I). We're committed to creating a workplace culture where everyone can thrive with a sense of belonging, and we're proud to be part of the Women in Nuclear (WiN), Race Equality in Nuclear (REiN), and Nuclear Rainbow Forum networks.

Our graduate programme starts in early September 2025, and we're looking for talented individuals who are passionate about engineering and eager to learn. If you're keen to excel in your chosen field and want to be part of a dynamic and innovative team, we'd love to hear from you.
