Senior Nuclear Construction Specialist

About the Role:

ARM is currently recruiting a highly experienced Senior Nuclear Construction Specialist to join a world-leading nuclear defence client based out of Sellafield, Cumbria.

Job Overview:

The Box Encapsulation Plant project at Sellafield Site is a crucial construction project that will play a vital role in the site's 100-year clean-up programme. This project involves encasing nuclear waste recovered from the site's original waste plants in concrete for storage in a modern building.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
    • Management and coordination of all mechanical plant and equipment installation elements.
    • Processing isometrics and drawings according to project requirements and issuing construction packages to installation supervisors, including availability of approved RAMS, permits, and lifting plans.
    • Coordinating plant and equipment installation, including sub-contract activities and ensuring all scaffolding and tools are available.
    • Reviewing and reporting weekly progress against the programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.
  2. Requirements:
    • Significant experience in fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects.
    • Prior experience of delivering projects on a nuclear licensed site.
    • A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (minimum HNC).
